Attention students: St Pat's Chess Club is hosting an online tournament on Lichess, Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at 5:30 PM. It is free, runs about 2 hours, and is open only to students with a St Pat's email (@stpatrick.org). Register with your school email and Lichess username before the start. Returning players — use the same school email so we keep your record. First-timers are welcome. Hi everyone,

St Pat's Chess Club is running St Pat's Invitational — 2026-08-25 on Lichess.

When: Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at 5:30 PM
Length: about 2 hours
Time control: 10+5 Arena, rated
Where: online on Lichess. Play from home, the library, or anywhere with Wi-Fi.

Who can play: current Saint Patrick High School students with a school email ending in @stpatrick.org. No alumni, parents, or other schools.

How to enter:
1. Create a free Lichess account at https://lichess.org if you do not have one (use a username you are happy for the school to see).
2. Register at https://chessatpats.org/register?event=a9eb5aef-8011-4f99-869e-260b535d6ff2 with your St Pat's email, grade, and Lichess username. If you have played a club event before, use the same school email so we keep one record.
3. After you register, you will get the private tournament link and password. Do not post that password in group chats.

A free online tournament on Lichess for current St Pat's students. We are using it to find players for the chess team — first-timers and club regulars are both welcome.

We keep a season roster for recruiting. Check the box on the form if you want to be considered for the team — beginners included.
